Emerging Leaders Series

The Emerging Leaders Series is a two-part series designed for emerging leaders, team leaders, new supervisors, and first-level managers. Part one of the series is a three-hour Management and Leadership course that will help new leaders understand the challenges and requirements of their new role, as well as the importance of harnessing the mission and vision of their work unit and how it supports the larger organizational goals. Part two of the series is a Self-directed Leadership course, where participants will internalize the four pillars of self-leadership and to make meaningful, empowered choices while taking action to get where they want to go.

  • Comprehend the scope, nature, and responsibility of the supervision or management role and the demands this role places on them.
  • Acquire an understanding of their role as leaders, team builders, and good communicators, and how these skills impact on effective supervision of their team
  • Grasp the importance of setting goals, planning, and prioritizing to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Accept the viewpoint that they are responsible for achieving results through the efforts of others.

Room Requirements 

  • Internet access for the presenter 
  • Screen 
  • Projector (if not ceiling mounted then a table or cart will need to be provided)
  • Training room must be able to comfortably accommodate the number of participants plus room to move around for various activities) 
  • Rounds or pods, a small table for presenter’s materials, chairs for all participants
  • One Flip chart and easel for each round table (for small group work) and markers

Additional Requirements 

  • Elevate will choose training facilitators whose background and expertise will support the subject matter and goals of the client 
  • Instructors will use a variety of instructional methods including lecture, group projects, discussion, and role play 
  • Participants are expected to be actively engaged in the learning process
